About Me
I'm a spiritual seeker, history geek, writer, and world traveler born in California to a long line of adventurers. From a young age, my family encouraged my passion for history, culture, language, and spirituality. Studies in psychology and lifespan development taught me to examine the way we operate as human beings and to apply science to larger questions like finding joy, purpose, and understanding, while intensive training in Nature-based spirituality and shamanism offered deep insight into the interconnected world and our place in it. Adopting a multi-disciplinary approach, my studies focus on the psycho-social evolution of human beings through time to explore how we can embrace the unique magic of being human.

What makes my writing unique is my focus on both interior and exterior detail, my inclusion of both the mundane and the magical worlds. As a visionary writer, I help readers discover deep truths within themselves that are often obscured by the struggles of daily life. If I accomplish anything as a writer beyond scratching together a few lovely phrases, I hope it will be to shine a light toward the unique magic within each of us.

Sacred Adventure Guide
There's a difference between a tourist and a traveler. While a tourist brings their own culture to enjoy the beauty of a place without letting themselves be changed by it, a traveler steps into the Unknown, embracing entirely new ways of being. A traveler cannot help but be changed, expanded, and forged anew by their experiences.
I founded the boutique travel company Sacred Mystery Tours with the dream of sharing sacred travel with people from around the world who long for deep adventure. My husband Mark and I offer an Ancient Mystery Quest, for those who are ready to dive into the Mysteries of the Sacred South of France.

I met my husband in a tiny town on an old Roman road halfway across Spain. We were both pilgrims walking El Camino de Santiago and after walking together for ten days, I knew we would be friends for life.

La Vielle Moulin
Mark asked me to marry him in the South of France, under a willow tree at the foot of Peyrepertuse Castle. He got down on one knee and offered me the engagement ring he had designed featuring his great great great grandmother's diamond.

Blackwater Castle
We were married at Blackwater Castle in County Cork, Ireland. We rented the castle and grounds and invited all our friends and family to a magical week-long celebration, complete with whiskey tastings, falconry, bonfires, gourmet feasts, and a traditional Irish band.

We were blessed with a magical little girl who is curious, courageous, happy, helpful, and so smart I can hardly believe it (even though her Papa's a genius). I'm looking forward to spending the next few decades trying to keep up with her in every way imaginable.
La Vie Gourmande
Amazing flavors are a super important part of my life. Along with writing and spiritual adventure, good food and great friends are the things I hold most dear.
Coffee
I'm obsessed with great coffee and drink a decadent caffe latte every morning. I used to be a barista, and I still consider it my back-up career if writing ever falls through.
Beer
I get so excited about the strong and unique flavors of craft beers. I can usually be found drinking an IPA in the summer and a dark ale or stout in the winter. My amazing hubby even brews his own delicious beers that we keep on tap at home.
Cheese
My all-time favorite food is CHEESE! I love it so much my friends all make fun of me. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, I had a cheese cake made giant wheels of cheese stacked atop each other.
Whiskey
In my opinion, sipping a digestif is the best way to end a meal, and whiskey is my eau de vie of choice. My favorites are smoky, peaty, and chock-full of flavor. I love the way a strong drink warms the heart.
